ATS Technic Signs New Line-Maintenance Agreement With Ethiopian Airlines

ATS Technic Secures Line-Maintenance Deal with Ethiopian Airlines, Expanding Middle East Presence
ATS Technic, an independent EASA-certified line maintenance provider, has signed a new agreement with Ethiopian Airlines, further extending its footprint across Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. The partnership aims to meet the rising demand for high-quality aviation maintenance in the region, while supporting Ethiopian Airlines’ reputation for operating Africa’s youngest and most efficient fleet.
Under the agreement, ATS Technic will deliver a comprehensive suite of maintenance services for Ethiopian Airlines at several key airports: Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, and Dubai International, Al Maktoum International, Sharjah International, and Zayed International airports in the UAE. Services will include both routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance, essential for ensuring the operational readiness and safety of Ethiopian’s 162-strong fleet.
Beyond technical maintenance, ATS Technic will coordinate closely with Ethiopian Airlines’ flight crews to streamline operations and improve communication. The company will also manage support services such as precise fuel delivery and rigorous safety inspections, reinforcing adherence to international safety standards.
Mahdi Al-Tahaineh, a spokesperson for ATS Technic, described the partnership as a “significant milestone” for the company’s expansion in the Middle East. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing the MENA region’s aviation industry by providing top-tier maintenance services that airlines can trust,” he said.
However, the new agreement comes amid a competitive landscape, with rival maintenance providers likely to intensify efforts to attract Ethiopian Airlines’ business. Industry observers note that ATS Technic’s service quality will be under increased scrutiny as competitors may enhance their own offerings in response to the deal. The partnership is expected to prompt a closer market watch on ATS Technic’s performance and its ability to deliver on its promises.
ATS Technic, the first independent EASA-certified line maintenance organization in the UAE, serves commercial airlines, lessors, and operators with a network of strategically located stations across the Middle East and global aviation hubs. As part of the ATS Group, the company leverages a broad base of aviation expertise to deliver maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services that prioritize efficiency, safety, and compliance with international standards.
